....extremely stinging bees.
Shiver. Truly the stuff of my nightmares :P

I recently swapped from an 80Gb iPod Classic to a BS2 with a 2Gb SD card. The sound quality is very good from the BS2, but I do miss the option of the equalizer settings present on the iPod. With the BS2 you don't have any of these options. I don't miss the display, as I find it easy enough to skip through albums, and found having my entire

Hahahahah! For any UK readers, check out the Swedish summation of Parky at 01:05! British Pratshow indeed!!!

Clearly a balance needs to be struck between on the one hand a shabby freely hosted internet forum with little moderation, and a slick, informative, commercial forum with manufacturer (hello BV8 in the prize draw) links and slightly more moderation on the other. I feel we are very much tending towards the latter, but it is up to forum members to decide

Owen Some time has passed now, so the scars may have healed from Tim's point of view. You should try and contact him. If he doesn't want to take a look, then there are other people we could point you in the direction of, though from what I gathered when I had my 6000 fixed, no one is particularly eager to take a look at one of these units. The

I'd like to lead the way in banging the drum for this wonderful piece if for no other reason than soon there'll be none left as: a) no one knows how to fix them; and b) for some reason they are

Owen Keep the Beomaster 6000 at all costs! Truly it is an amazing looking amplifier, and given what Peter has said about its reliability, will only become more sought after as increasing numbers get trashed when they stop working. I waited for two years looking for a good unit, before giving up and buying a duff one, then spending some serious money

CDX is great (I have two), as is the CD50 (had one but sold it). I like the warm sound from both these decks - particularly the CD50 with its quirky upside down CD loading position :)

I use the Loudness function on my Beomasters 8000, 6000 Quad and 2000. I listen to a lot of guitar music and some hip hop, where having an accentuated bass sound is all part of the listening experience. B&O put these buttons on their amps - there must have been a reason, and surely it's not simply cos the cloth eared masses demanded it?
