• Re: Beovox M70 Rescue & Adoption

Last night I got the spare RX 2 back out. I took the dust cover off and had a close look at the tonearm/counterweight. I took the counterweight off and the ~2 mm rod was indeed bent. I estimate the rod was bent about 10 degrees down and 5 degrees toward the outside of the turntable. By hand with just brute force, I tried my best to bend it back. Seems

Glass sounds pretty good, even through some cheap wall mounted active boxes.
I like that movie. And the sound track is great too!
I have never even heard of it until

By the way, what's in the "Dual" box?
Winter clothes at this time... found the box in the basement. It used to contain the walnut CS5000 I bought new in 1990 and sold ~three years ago after getting the disease. Got pretty much exactly the same money! (and regretted

  • Re: elderly citizen finds B&O P 45s .

Capacitors can be had for as little as a dollar or two each, up to 20+ dollars. It depends on how crazy you are and what your budget is. Martin (Dillen) can help there possibly, as can this guy .
Yes it was - that is where I got my BM 2000 there was also a BC 2600. Of the three the BC 1600 was the only set that actually worked and was in the best condition. The BM 2000 basicaslly fell apert when I opened her up to look inside and the BC 2600 is a wreck both inside and out. Only really good for parts.

Just come across the above freeware progran to convert cassette content to mp3 format - anybody used it or comments about it? salut tony
I have used Audacity to make digital versions of a few LPs. I listen from the computer in a lossless WMA format, and on mp3 players in mp3 format (imagine that!). Audacity
Congratulations Rich to your M70 restoration (just a slight criticism about their new fabric )! I have used mine during many years and I was very pleased with their natural and linear sound. Their efficiency is low, less than 90dB/W/m so they need a very powerful amplifier, I think a BM1900 is a little just enough.
