I am sure Marin can advise on the exact bulb you need. However I would strongly counsel you to get a new Soundsmith cartridge. MMC cartridges have not been made for a long time and even unused ones could be starting to develop problems. To remove the cartridge, simply pull it out - a little jiggling from side to side can help! Once you put the new one

Very inventive and completely barking mad! I bet you drove carefully!

Have actually been running the two scanners in tandem! I am about to do a real gem - the MCL system manual! Not the white manual that is already on site but the 89-90 black one which is rare! The only downside is you will all know as much or probably more than me!

If it is any help, the user manuals are all on site for silver and gold members to download.

Where are you based? The Beocom 1 is a different product as it accepts two incoming lines which you may want. It is really a US product.

Actually, search today on Google for Olufsen, and Beoworld is number 2 only to the official site, and search on Bang & Olufsen and we are at 3 behind the official site and the A8 earphones from the official site. Interestingly, Beocentral seem to have disappeared from the rankings. I have no idea why. They do appear if you search for products.

And to be fair, they should sound better as the phones are not cheap!

I do have a Philips DECT phone as well and the B&O one just sounds more natural. People I speak to on the phone also seem to hear me more clearly - or so they say! I think it is just down to more expensive components like the loudspeaker.

Not a lot! But the big benefit of the 6000 is the ability to share phone books with other 6000s and beocom 2s and even the Serene mobile phone. There is also an intercom facility on the 6000 which is not on the 4.

As far as I am aware, I think all the products you list are made in Denmark. The BS1 is FM only but the newer ones have a Timer. I would second Henry's thoughts - the Beocom 6000 is the best phone made by B&O, although the 4 is very nice to hold.
