• Re: Beogram 4000: worth it?

I wouldn't worry about this too much, as it is more to do with back tracking than forward track, a feature which you will never see used! I would concentrate on getting

  • Re: Where is BeoSound8 made?
Discussing with friends etc. a good argument was always that B&O build their stuff in Denmark and you can feel and see the quality.
So how do you feel about the Beocentre 2000 /02 or the 2200 / 4000. Very little B&O in any of these products not even sure where they were made tbh, mostly Japan I suspect.

I think it much more likely to be the lead or other fault before the cartridge but that can't be ruled out either. If you have not got a meter to check yourself I would rather personally take the deck to someone who is a little more neutral...

The strobe is scratched and marked on mine too Jacques, in fact there is a huge burn mark under my platter where the solenoid volt-drop resistor had previously exploded I am convinced the only way this could have happened is with clumbsy hands (i.e. someone shorting the solenoid) as there is no natural explanation as far as I can see!!!! I tried photocopying

Make sure to align the glaspanels properly the first time (with this tape) or else you have to do it all over again . This is really good stuff!
...and remove ALL of the old tape from both surfaces first, or the end result will be too thick, and
