• Re: Beocenter 3500 restoration

Thanks for the pointer Jacques, I'll remember that when / if I ever get to go through my 5000. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Mrs.! Other problems always seem very small when something like that happens.

  • Re: WOW! a B&O Must Have

I junk these crappy old 0-class extension leads all the time. Now I know where they end up. These cost less in Finland, new in the store...
That depends completely on your fabric selector.
Now really, the 2200 might indeed be a reasonable way to "get into vinyl on the cheap". The turntable is the best part of it. The bad part is that it takes quite a lot of space to reach that goal, and the rest isn't special in any way.

  • Re: Should I leave the Beocenter 9500 to a workshop before using it?
When I press "play" the cartridge hit the vinyl at the very end and jumps of. You have to help it by gently pushing it in the right direction by hand or by pushing the "left" and "right" button on the Beogram to guide the cartridge right.
OK, that's a clear adjustment problem.
Here is my new toy Beolit 600 just arrived from UK. I must say it is amazing product.
And a nice colour, congratulations! Nowadays people are so used to everything portable sounding like total crap, that demonstrating an old Beolit leaves many open-jawed
I now regret I did not let the workshop change belt and adjust my Beogram 7000 when I left it at the workshop for a quick look that it was alright in february. I was going to call the workshop but other stuff came in between.
You can get a new belt from Dillen and it's easy to replace yourself. The adjustments
Interesting that you mention the Beocenter 2200. I'm going to look at one locally this weekend being sold for $125.
Skip it. (pardon the pun)
