I think what will happen is that the Beomaster 5 is a full replacement for Beomedia. I would even think they sell it on their own. The BS5 I am guessing is just a front end for beomaster that deals with the music. This is also why I think it is so important that it comes off that podest. Otherwise, for people with TV it wouldn't make much sense

I checked mine, a US one. Same 5 settings. Can it be that the 576i will not show when you connect through HDMI?

well I am guessing BS5 is an audio product only. Beomaster 5 per documentation below can play video, but since MP4 is not listed I am guessing no. If I recall correct some people were successful installing additional codes, it might block out the mp4 extension when uploading. I am not so much interested in the video function, music is what I want. Cheers

Sonos can play apple lossless. So the statement that they don't license it out can not be correct. That said, I do believe that 320 is a good choice since lossless files are just too big to handle with most portable devices and who would want to manage 2 libraries. @ Alex, the documentation how to connect Beomaster to a Mac was posted here. No lossless. To be honest, I can live with some compression, that is not the issue for me. Looking at the pictures, I think it will come of that podest. It wouldnt make any sense for it not too designwise. The podest must be super heave to hold it and I doubt they needed space
