I'm sure the 9300 had the matt finish (often upgraded to the mirror panels) though I may be wrong. The 9300 is the newer and last of this wonderful Beocenters and prices in the UK range from £350 to £700 from a second life dealer with warranty. Beo4Life (Joeyboygolf) is currently selling one but doubt if
There has to be a result for these... If S(t)onk is following this thread... I believe he made mention of considering working up a fix??? I would be happy to give it a go... I just don't have a 9000... or more importantly, the part in question! I'd bet a cold beer that this can be solved. OP: 600 in any currency

Come on John, they're all goosed on eBay! This same scenario has been played out on the forum loads of times over the years. Even when I buy a complete deck on ebay, I always assume that the cartridge is goosed.........and I'm not often wrong!! If you're not happy with you MMC4, why not send it to Axel and have him rebuild it to MMC2 specification
Oh dear....MMC3 arrived this morning and it had the left channel out.
What a surprise!

Through the dealer if they have an in house department or yellow pages if they use a third party contractor. Where are you?

The sad fact is that although many Beocenter 9000's look like new, they all have a problem area. The CD servo board will undoubtedly fail sooner rather than later due to capacitor problems and the CD clamping mechanism will fail due to disintegration of a tiny unobtainable piece of plastic! So, if it wasn't for the CD they would be a good buy

That sounds like a lot of money. Was this response as a result of a quotation from their service department or just a "salesmans bluff" to get you to replace the 3200? If it were mine, I would pay for a report from qualified service people. It may cost an hour labour time but at least it should be accurate and will give you a much better idea

Take it to another dealer. The "computer has broken" is not a sensible reason to give. You have not helped yourself either! We don't know where you are so "it will cost 300 to 400 to replace" does not mean a lot. Is that UK Pounds, Danish Kroner, US dollars or Yen or what???
