Just checked, and somewhat to my surprise, I don't have it! The 8002 one is there which is essentially the same machine. However there is no menu for deciphering error messages. The normal fault with these machines is due to faulty capacitors and then the tacho disc. I would suggest chatting to Dillen (Martin Olsen) who has remade the tacho disc

Should be! I'll remedy that in the new hour!

New for old basically means just that though. Good insurance companies do offer this level of service and you may well get more than you would expect. Clearly this will be a matter for negotiation but let us know what happens. Hiscox, who sponsor the site, offer a new for old policy - and from personal experience are quite frankly the best insurance

I take it that the remote is known to work? The service manual is on site. Getting parts relies on a sympathetic dealer and I would actually get them to do it as if it is not what you think, you won't waste any money!

There was a thread about a nice stand for the BV7 on the old forum. I have found the company who make bespoke furniture both privately and for companies - called Acacia design . There is a glimpse of the stand on their home page.

The General Forum should cover the Modern era - indeed that is really what it is designed for. I know there is a fair bit of chit chat at present but quite a lot of that is the general buzz of the new site. We do have a lot of traffic at present - 10.000 posts in 3 weeks is pretty staggering! I have not been moving posts to lifestyle as I used to but

I would look out for a Beomaster 1000 at the same boot fair! They do come up and for not much more than the speakers! Very fine amplifier as Martin will attest! It also suits the Beovox 1000 very well.
