The 7.4 is supposed to be the best mono speaker but in your set up, you may well find the 7.2 is better anyway. If it is a question of the 7.4 simply not fitting anyway, I would get the 7.2. Have you listened to both? If I had Beolab 5s or 9s as front speakers, I would probably get the 7.4, but with 8000s, I think the 7.2 will be a better match.

Not wishing to put a dampner on this, but the CX range are perfect at what they do. However they are not, in my view, Hi-Fi speakers. They are perfect for rooms like bathrooms and kitchens and not bad as computer speakers. But there are some very good small speakers around which are much more musical. They are not as small obviously but still acceptably

Try repositioning the Beoline. I had some problems initially but moving the Beoline fixed it.I moved it to another room.

What will you do with the BS4 if you win?

Have not seen the picture - link not working for me - but if that is the case, it is a normal CD-50 with a Beocord/master white top on it. They are interchangeable.

03W43 for me - would seem about right! Is there any correlation between serial number and age in other products - and would you like to do a FAQ for us!

The second number is the serial number - but my thoughts on years is clearly inaccurate!
