Option 5 for both the Avant and the Passive would seem to make the most sense. In that way, audio signals will work the Passive and Video signals will work the Avant. The other option is to use the Passive in Option 4 so you would need to press Link before issuing commands. The Beo4 will allow you to select suitable buttons for this - L-<source>

Logically it has to be something in the STB-C that is sending the Text instruction before changing channel. Why - goodness knows!

Doesn't sound as if it does much more than act as a paperweight! A couple of thoughts: is it designed for the market you are using it in? It could have the wrong wiring to the plug. Member Nobby is the Beocom 2000 expert so he may offer some assistance!

Mine is an Avant 32 DVD and Sky+. You only get a small flash of Teletext - less than half a second.

You can obviously mix any speakers you want but there is some stylistic and technical sense in using like with like.

No. You do need to go into the service menu.

Film Mode is an extra piece of Digital trickery to make movement more natural. Some people like it, some don't!

Quite correct! It does it on mine as well! Not on my AV9000 - but I don't have the STB-C fitted yet!

Surprised B&O have left that one up! I know some people don't like Film Mode. Always been very happy with it on my Avant DVD.
