Is it a new handset? The New Beoline transmitters only work with the new handsets though the new handsets work with both new and old Beolines. I think you need the S/W on your phone updating to 2.5 and your dealer will do this for you - and it should of course be free! Will only work with the new handsets that have the port for the earset.

There is a failt noted in some earlier 9000s where the clamper arm can become slightly bent. This results in a scraping sound on playback. I doubt it. The head unit is identical. The socket unit is simply not fitted with the video connectors. I would pay the extra and get the fully specified model!
