• Re: Sound quality of beovox 4500 on a beocenter 9300

Personally, I would think the lab4500's would sound better as the bass boost will be tuned to that design, but having never heard these speakers I might be wrong!

  • Re: Where is BeoSound8 made?
Eventually, the Struer operation must become a sales and marketing operation only and all development and manufacturing should move to the Pacific Rim areas , China being the cheapest place to manufacture for many years to come. This is not the future, it is the present, believe me, I've been there!
• Re: My Intro to the B&O World

Welcome to the world of B&O :) I think you have a great introductory system the BM1900 is very nice and quite sort after, the S-45's, as long as they are the 3 way speakers are fantastic sounding and the MMC20E is a half decent cartridge, although it will be well past it's best by now! Can be reconditioned if you are serious about vinyl

  • Re: B&O 4004 Tone arm

I suspect it kills any resonance in the spring. Whether this is limited to the point of solenoid operation (to prevent the spring 'singing', or actually during the playing of records is someone elses guess. Of course there could be other reasons...

I actually like the way you have cropped it - makes you look harder for anything recognisable. Looks pro too :) Saying that if you wanted a different look you could have remove any logos using software.

Just one more thing 3in1 is ok for your bike but not the best for this application. Better with some good quality mineral oil like that made by singer for sewing machines.

  • Re: B&O 4004 Tone arm

The fuz is normal and put there for a reason :) Although not essential I would put it back. The wires are not freyed they are individualy coated you really don't want to mess with these. As long as they are not too tight or don't interfere with movement leave well alone!

  • Re: B&O and 3D development

Maybe so at the moment, but like any new medium it has to mature. Personally I will choose a 3d showing over the 2d equivelent every time now!
