AT: Under £70k? Please believe me, I'am very happy to see You, that You like the sound of the BL5, and I wish You a lot's of happy years with it, but please, never ever try to say on an audiophile forum that it has a high end sound quality, because they will ROTFL on You immediately. And please accept, if somebody interested in ONLY the

As Peter says you will only hit problems if you play your music very loudly. I use My Beolab 1700 (similar amplifier to yours I think) with a pair of S45-2s but very rarely push the volume slider as far as half way. If loud music is important to you, or you need to fill a large room with sound, you may wish to invest in a more powerful amplifier, but

How many handsets from other manufacturers from 5 years ago are economically repairable if they go wrong? I personally can't think of any. As Keith says it is entirely possible that your handset is economically repairable with the application of a little thought and patience. Simon

It does sound very like there is only one channel playing through both speakers. Try listening very carefully to see if there is any separation between the channels. Geoff I have no personal experience to draw on but I have heard a lot of good things about the B&O dealer in Chester and I know they are happy to deal with older B&O products. Simon

Just seen that Beocentral are referring to them as Bookshelf speakers. You would need quite a large bookshelf to fit them on! Great speakers though! I have two pairs in daily use. They all just say S45 on the front you have to look at the back to see if it is an S45-2 or not. It is worth emailing the seller if you see a pair of S45'S ON Ebay as

If contact is by cellphone and email only and electronic payment is requested in advance the most likely explanation is that the speakers do not exist at all. It would be vary hard to make fake Lab5's that couldn't be detected within 5 minutes of listening to them. Simon

Have you spoken to your local B&O dealer?, you may well find that the original units are still available. Simon

Are you trying to connect to normal speakers or B&O ones with the two pin DIN sockets? Either way you shopul be able to buy the connectors you need online from Maplin. Simon
