Don't worry Gez that's what we are here for! Welcome Sorry to state the obvious, but have you checked the fuse hasn't blown? Also, some Avants have an On/Off switch just below and under the screen, right hand side. If you don't feel it, have a look under with a torch. Hope this helps. Andy T.

Poor Lee! Doesn't matter which way you jump, folk are going to winge. Personally, I don't like change, but realise that it is inevitable, so find it pointless wingeing. Hoosomever, if it's a change I lkie, I'll be first to jump up and make my feelings known

Ben, it will show a black sreen if there is no input. Press Sat, then on the black screen press menu and see if you get anything.

Just had a little play... While sat up on the table, press "Panel" in red, the "Move" in the blue. When it lies down, press "exit" in blue. Strange, I seem to remember in the original manual something on the lines of "a mere touch of the panel, and Beolink 7000 wakes up and in vites you to....blah, blah, blah" Perhaps that just refers to the display lighting up, rather than it sitting up.
