Ebay is stll your best bet, they do crop up on there fairly regularly but are like buses - none for weeks and then several come along at once. They don't screw onto the speakers, there is a mounting plate on the stands which simply hooks into the hole at the rear of speakers where the spring terminals are located and gravity does the rest. I'm not sure of the working condition of the board components as it came from a totally wrecked CDX which I bought for parts so never fully tested it as far as the touch sensors etc.... The display was working fine though as I remember getting the CDX in question to start (with a lot of encouragement) and remember it whizzing through the tracks

You need to start it playing then cut off the power supply by either switching off the mains or unplugging it. This will leave the tonearm in the play position and enable you to adjust the pressure before restoring the power. Chris.

Yes the MCP 7000 DOES exist. One of our members (I forget who) has one & posted a photo of it some time back. It is basically a MCP 6500 with a black anodised drop down flap. Chris. EDIT - Mika just beat me to it. Great minds think alike eh? Also a message to David the OP. If you programme any timer functions with a MCP 5500 you MUST use it to also

Spurs 2 - Leeds Utd 2 Beckford equalising in the 96th minute - what a finale. Can't wait for the replay at Elland Rd, if the first game was anything to go by it should be another drama filled cracker! Chris.
