You must remember that I am thinking on my feet here, but what about trying to connect the Set Top Box to another input on the Beosystem 3? I know this seems a bit odd, but you could then select that input (name it something else) when in another link room and it should come though in SD and hence you bypass the HDCP protocol via the HDMI lead. You

If you are reasonably handy, any reasonable power amp will do - the B&O one is called a MCL2P and is available second hand. You could also use something like a Quad 405 power amplifier which Graham, another moderator favours for good reason. LifestyleAV if you are in the UK offers a good range of used Beolab speakers - I favour Beolab 4000s for

They should do! I had a Serene and a Beocom 2 and together they gave no problem at all except that I managed to duplicate phone books on my Serene as it imported both the phone book from the BC2 and the SIM card - but that was my fault.

I wonder if connecting a SCART as well will allow the link sets to work. I am sure the BV9 will utilise the HDMI connection but the link sets, which will by the nature of the RF connection of Masterlink not be getting HD, will work via Scart due to the communication issue. Might be worth a shot! On the video box, I imagine that the Virgin box codes

To be honest, the best way to save music is to put it on your computer and link to the B&O sound system using a beoport. The hard drive on the 3200 is a little bit of a pain as it doesn't name the tracks - you have to do that manually. The BS4 has the advantage of having a nice big display and will display the information stored on the computer
