Make sure it is the correct converter!

Have had at one time a CDX, CD4500, CD50, 9500 and a CD7000 in one room. I have a BC2 now. Have heard all the others at other times. I find it very difficult to differentiate them! I know this sounds ridiculous, but I like the sound of the CDX! Probably down to distortion! Wouldn't be surprised if it was similar to the reason valve amplifiers sound

Who are Manchester United? (Don't follow association football - wrong shaped ball!)

I am sure I can find one - it may not be boxed but it will work! On call today but will have a search on Friday! I think it has a reasonable stretch of MCL cable!

Very expensive and well specified D/A converters and they have a digital output. The 5500 has a brushless motor which is very quiet and expensive! One could go all audiophile and say having their own power supply is an advantage as well! Of the current range - tricky! jk1002: There is one right now on Ebay.com . It is quite expensive though with 600$. Normally you can pick them up way cheaper. Be warned, an US dealer made a funny coment about it on the old beoworld so it might be better to skip it and try getting a used beosystem. I take it you mean an AV7000 for $600! The Beolink converters go for about £30

I am afraid that is software related. I don't think there is a fix as CDV was what DVD replaced and V-SAT describes DTV pretty well! You will also get A-TP2 instead of N.Music and PHONO instead of N.Radio!

It is no good with your 5500 as that already uses Beolink 1000 code but does do exactly what you think! I don't suppose you could do me a scan of the manual?! Or I'll swap you an Xtra-Speaker kit for it. I am sure I have a spare one somewhere!

Sounds like a switch problem as the motor is clearly working. However Martin is the expert here!

I would post on the Apple forum - more knowledge! Just off to repair permissions....
