The BLB2000 and the BV32 is connected by each their own 1611.
only ONE converter 1611 should be used in a system, the ML cables should be distributed by a junctinon box, preferably the large version B&O ItemNr 3375189 or, if you prefer factory made standard ML cables by a ML distributor box B&O

Hi Louise, please dont cut any wires, disconnecting them should be sufficent ... ;-) Many questions answered, but still no information about the location of the MCL 2A (X-tra speaker kit passive 2047 with rectangular IR receiver ??? ) mentioned in your first posting: " 2) To Beomaster 4500 is linked 2 Beolab CX 100 via MCL 2A (old link protocol

... there are some "creative" solution possible ... more details please! Are the CX 100 + MCL2A located in an other (Link) room or also in the BM 4500 / BV78-32 room? Are speakers connected to BM 4500 ? Means no speakers at BV 7-32 none (no Beolab 7.1/7.4) or no external speakers? If there are speakers connected to BM 4500 and the BV 7-32
So the cabeling from jack to jack will be Cat 7 and from the jack to the B&O equipment a B&O cable with one ML plug and one Cat 7 plug ?
Yes! You use an "installation cable" from RJ45 patch-panel to RJ45 jack and a "product-cable", one side RJ 45, other side either ML or PL available
-
;-) Assuming that you are not a "B&o trained sevice technician" - the only thing you can/should do is: - disconnect your audio and/or video equipment and the panel-amps from the mains. - disconnect/reconnect all PL plugs !!several!! times - this cleans the pins and improves the contact - sometimes this helps! - if not ... the largest "antenna"

PowerLink Cables - fully mounted (all pins connected): Recently Powerlink Mk II has been discontinued and replaced by a NEW TYPE called "PowerLink Shielded" - a fully mounted and double shielded cable with a diameter of 5,5mm and available factory mounted up to 50m The main intention was increasing the possible lenght of PowerLink-Cables in

PowerLink Cables - fully mounted (all pins connected): Can be used for ALL Bang & Olufsen Speakers. The original PowerLink Cable (fully mounted) used for Pentas and BeoLab 3000/4500/5000 in the 80's & 90's had a diameter of 7mm. It was replaced by Powerlink Mk II with a diameter of 3,5mm. !! Recently Powerlink Mk II has been replaced

I did somethig similar many years ago with an Avant and the result was the same as yours. Without an AV9000 TV/Center the AV works only as a ML source. But there are some conditions to fulfill and severe limitations: 1) use today's 9-conductor, the old 16-conductor ML cable used with the early AV9000s may cause troubles. Maybe the B&O Service

To specify colours Bang & Olufsen used (uses?) "NCS" figures instead of "RAL" A white back cover for a MX8000 ist specified as "Colour: White - Colour code: NCS 0500" "NCS" instead of "RAL" might get the B&O customer support on the right track ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_Color_System

Maybe I just missed the "final" statement about the pin configuration, but I found a lot of guessing about it in the various Beolink Active- PC Input threads - and the pin config is quite unusual ! "PC-Socket" on BeoLink Active 1636 - pin configuration - (Source: BeoWise) 1. SL-config 2. LEFT IN 3. Left out 4. RIGHT IN 5. Right out
