I think I have it but it is far too big to email! Can't load it to the site but will try again! On call today so won't be till later.

He has an AV7000 which has a powered centre speaker channel.

Upgrade!! Could certainly tempt me - A4 Avant possibly!

I love Quad ESL63s - have nearly bought some on many occasions but really don't have the space. Have you got the sub-woofers for them? I compromised and have BBC LS3/5As and AB1s instead - which have often been said to be the most like Quads in tone for a cabinet speaker though clearly not quite the same ethereal transparency. More wife friendly

I think he has bought the other 1700 - the type 1701. The older Beolab 1700 amplifier and Beomaster 1700 tuner are much less common on Ebay. I had the tuner but never the amplifier. Not to be confused with the Beomaster and Beolab 5000! Never really saw the point of the BLand BM1700 as the 1100 did the same thing in a smaller box!

Possibly - can you give us some more details or the speakers you have. Are they powered? You probably need to make up a Powerlink to twin mini jack cable.

I saw the reply. The bits that come with the software make no mention that it fixes that issue so I will be interested to see if it does!

Anything is possible - whether it is sensible is the question! There are AV processors that will offewr surround sound, and it is also possible to get a Lintronic device so that you can control it all via the Beo4. It will be unlikely to be as easy to use as a Beovision but I am sure you could get it working. Have a chat to Lintronic - I am sure Michael

They will certainly repair a Penta. The amplifier comes off quite easily.See above!

brendon: No. I have a Mac Mini and the error message I received explained where to set the option. How can I take a screen shot on a Mac and I'll show you? I'm still learning the Mac and OSX platform . I could do it in windows with ease. Look in Applications/Utilities and find Grab. Wonderful little program. It saves the pictures as a Tiff,
