You can certainly run a CD or MP3 player through the Tape socket. It accepts Line in level so the CD player will be easy. If using an iPod, use a Dock connection for best results.

I like both those! The mirror is fascinating but I think the aluminium is probably the more sensible choice.

Had a quick look at the service manual and I can't see any reason for this I am afraid. I would ask your dealer for some ideas as he can get his hands on the same model.

Manual now on - I have scanned the diagrams in colour as it makes them stand out more.

I actually have the service manual for this which I will scan today and put on site. You will need to upgrade to silver or gold to get to it but as that could result in you winning a new system if you upgrade to gold, it could be the best decision you have ever made! There was probably a circuit diagram with the 1001 - usually in a small brown envelope
