• Re: So.. why do you buy Bang & Olufsen?

I am sure the touch glass will come back once more, but I suspect the overall looks dictate the type of interface used. I am not sure if the glass look of the 9500 etc would have suited any of the models you mention Steffan! Also have any one of those models lost anything as a result of using standard buttons? They are all IMO great designs, very enjoyable

  • Re: Beogram 4000: worth it?

You use UV Jacques? I have a box but the cost of coated boards has always put me off! I might try the local printers I believe the problem in my case is that Brother use organic based inks where plastic based are best. It is doing my head in because it looks like a lovely meter when completed with a very large range! Anyway have you tried moving or

  • Re: B&O and Intel to cooperate on Smart TV

I just got an image in my head of turning on a nice new b&o telly and the first thing I see being a big intel logo with a corus of people singing bom, bom-BOM-bom-BUMMMM On a serious note it sounds exciting though and good to see B&O in a partnership with someone as big as intel... Lets hope it is not a competing standard that loses the race

  • Re: Can we please not have any B&O 3D TV threads this year?
I'm waiting for the holo-deck from Star Trek: The Next Generation. (Also waiting for the multi-teired glass chess boards as well).
like this? I personally like 3d and wouldn't mind seeing a widget or option to add to the telly, as long as it does a half decent job and can be turned off! I think it

  • Re: Wall Mount Cable Tidies - Share Your Photos

I personally cringe when I see Beoworld pictures of a brand new piece of B&O with visible wires dangling down the wall - it's just as bad with trunking etc. Looking at the pics above that is exactly what I would strive for if I wanted to do my B&O justice... I would imagine your industrial look would be ok if you had a brick wall but personally

  • Re: Beogram 4000: worth it?

Mine has the original greys too from what others have said caps aren't a major problem in these decks. Not tried scoping either - could be interesting.... I replaced a couple of electrolytic caps which were required, that's it! My resolution (just decided) is to finish a ESR meter from EPE mag I got all the bits but I struggled to print the

Jacques the Neon problem is almost certainly the reed switch. You can try repositioning but maybe just replace the the thing. They are cheap enough!
