Thanks for all of the input. I have had Apple TV connected and functioning with the Beo 4 for many months. All music is stored in lossless. My questions were more related to sound quality as I think it is superb but others seem to reccommend an external DAC and I was trying to figure in what situations is an external DAC beneficial.
