  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Reading your post inspired me to put on a Lindisfarne live CD. It's part of a box set, but I think it was originally released as 'Magic Night - Live'. Winter song is playing as I type this, so many memories! Simon

Peter: Alan Hull - Pipedream. Wonderful album I have not listened to for years. Alan Hull died a couple of years ago. I know it's hard to believe, but the late, great Alan Hull passed away slightly more than 12 years ago and is still sadly missed. I had the good fortune to see him with Lindisfarne on several occasions, he always did "Winter

Medogsfat: wirralsimon: It's not always about your posting specifically. I was put onto moderation because of the work *** in the title of the ***iest speakers thread I responded to. As an experiment I am going to see what the system makes of the town Scunthorpe! Simon As the saying goes, "if Margaret Thatcher put the Brit back into Britain

  • Re: B&O shares drop 29 per cent - oh dear!

moxxey: They won't be going back to B&O and can't understand why I've just invested in a £8.8K BV7-40, when that would be a deposit on a 1-bed flat. I agree with your landlords on that one! Is the difference between a mid-range flat panel (or recent Avant-DVD) and your BV7-40 so great that you would pass up the opportunity to get

I think B&O needs to go one of two ways. It can retreat into the pure high-end selling even more expensive products with high margins. That doesn't mean charging more for the current tange of products, but making sure that the next generation of products are good enough appeal more strongly to people willing to spend 20-30k or more on a Home

  • Re: Beovision LX2800 no longer responding to remote

My LX2800 didn't respond to either of my Beolink 1000's My complex technical solution was to prise off the cover where the IR receiver is (it's where the red lights are) and wiggle what was underneath with my finger. It's been working fine ever since! Simon

  • Re: The worlds 15 se*iest speakers... ;)

van: I personally think the BeoLab 5's look the se*iest... I agree, and at 'only' $16,000 including the amplifiers it looks like stunning VFM compared to the other speakers there. Simon

  • Re: CDX / Speakers & best B&O CD player for Beomaster 8000

If you have a look at the write-ups on Beocentral it explains it all, but the main conclusion is that the CDX2 is less reliable and doesn't sound much better considring the two extra bits! Simon
