• Re: Does Beomaster terminal for BM6000 work for BM8000?
How is the sonic quality of BM6000 relative to BM8000? I may also have an opportunity to get a non-working bm6000 for very low price, would it be worth having it fixed?
RedGrant It depends on the speakers you use and the size of the room you have. I recently parted company with my BM6000, but kept the 8000

  • Re: Beolit 700- late 1960's

Sorry David - my mistake. That is still too expensive for a 60s 700. To give you an idea, I paid about £150 for a mint teak Beolit 800 a couple of years ago. If memory serves me correctly, the 800 is just a 700 in a nice wooden case. Not worth three times the amount I paid for an 800 IMO. Good work on the 1000 - seems like you got a good one

David For a non-mint set that is still excessively high. I would expect to pay around £350-400 for a very good Beolit 1000, and they are much rarer and sought after than the 700. I would have thought $300 would be nearer the mark. What colour is it? If it is purple or red then they seem to be the most popular. For what it's worth, I have two

  • Re: Earliest products allowing FM and FM Stereo reception.
I don't know whether this helps but I have a Beomaster 1400 with an optional plug-in decoder board. This might give some idea of when Stereo was introduced.
It's before that. Check out the Workbench thread by Martin (username: Dillen) on his restoration of a Grand Prix Moderne valve set. Although it had

  • Re: Beosound 2 and iTunes 9

AAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! After about four hours of faffing around, I finally managed to sort the problem. Firstly, for some strange reason, my BS2 wouldn't let me drag and drop folders from iTunes 9 into it, so the only way to load music up was to have effectively one large 'track' of albums stored in the Music folder. This was unacceptable, so

  • Re: Beosound 2 and iTunes 9

Hi Stan Can I simply drag files out of the iTunes folder into the BS2? I tried to add to some existing music on my 2GB SD card this way and it did not show up...and this was after discovering that I could not downgrade to earlier versions of iTunes because the older versions could not open up the iTunes music library. All this because I let the software

  • Re: Beosound 2 and iTunes 9

Thanks Elephant I really wished I hadn't bothered upgrading now. Can I 'downgrade' back to the earlier version of iTunes?

  • Beosound 2 and iTunes 9

I foolishly let my old PowerBook G4 update my iTunes software the other day and now my Beosound 2 isn't being recognised by iTunes. Whenever I hold down Go with iTunes open, it just crashes iTunes and closes. Is there something I need to do??? Help!
