Just had a wonderful reply back from Ebay.............NOT!!!! Hello, Thank you for taking the time to report a seller who you suspect is offering stolen goods on eBay. The sale of stolen goods is forbidden on eBay because it's against the law to sell stolen property. eBay strongly supports law enforcement efforts to recover stolen property listed

Well, I have reported this to Ebay as been stolen. Lets see what happens. Probably nothing knowing Ebay. Craig
Ouch, that's sizzling. I wonder if there is anyway to find out the serial number once the sticker has 'fallen' off?
Even if you can, you still should not be able to get the PIN from any dealer. Or at least that is my undrstanding of the system. Craig
Give us a clue Craig
DOH!!! Just edited my post. Craig
Actually there are several different numbers. Choose what suits you best: 0800 1925 2 1985 (vintage) 0800 1985 2 1995 (pre ML) 0800 1995 2 2010 (ML)
Very good reply. Craig

Well, I cannot anyone would have placed a bid on this. No PIN code and the serial number removed. So someone is going to part with over £250 for a BS3000 that will never work. As the title says though. Great paper weight, and it should keep your hands warm too. BS3000 LINK Craig
OK, sounds like a fair product then. I was afraid that it was some new magic CD edge paint or a magic stone to put on top of your CD player to avoid interference from outer space. Martin
They both sound like great products. Where can I order them from? Craig

Graham wouldn't have read it anyway - on Monday nights he mans the Samaritans helpline.
.. for distressed BeoWorlders. 0800 1925 2 2010
Good choice of phone number there Lee. Craig
What is a CD restorer ? Snake oil ?
Seen these before, usually in shops which sell second hand games for consoles etc. For want of a better description in skims the top layer of the disc to remove scratches etc. Craig
