This is a pretty worn MMC4 I have pictured but gives an idea of the angle of the cantilever which is pretty much in line with the cartridge body. As you can see the stylus does some what "drag" back into the record groove (it is a white vinyl copy of The Stone Roses on the platter in case you're wondering).

I think your best bet would be to keep an eye out for a wrecked Beolit of this type & salvage the parts form it. The volume & tone sliders are the same on all of these and just clip on & off. Chris.

Hi Justin & welcome to Beoworld These are extremely rare to find and people who have them really want to hold onto them I'm afraid I have seen them listed on ebay occasionally and they do tend to fetch quite a good price. Do you actually have the broken one, I have repaired one before without too much trouble but it does depend on the degree

Apply glue to edge of the new surrounds, reverse the polarity of the battery & the cone will move outwards which will ensure the coil is centred. Then swap back the polarity of the battery & it will move inwards, now you can safely weigh it down with a suitably sized ring, disconnect the battery & leave to set. Chris.

I agree with Martin - definately worth repairing. The S55's are some of my personal favourites amongst the smaller "S" series of speaker. Do as Martin suggests & replace the cap's in the crossovers while you have them open. You won't find anything near as good as these, in terms of sound & build quality, for the price of
