Hi Pete, I have a similar arrangement, I have a non B&O TV connected to my B&O audio system, as Peter and Mika have suggested you can simply use the audio out, use the Overture / Beo 4 to control the volume. Don't use the speakers on the TV (they won't be like your MX) ... use the speakers you have attached to the Overture and your set

Hi Henrik, Not sure that i can be of much assistance, but thought I would jump in as your question re the 'overload circuit' was something that came up for me recently... I am getting static on one of my speakers when coming out of standby and Martin and Peter suggested it may be the overload circuit, which it appears to be... Now in that thread

Hi Martin, Did you manage to work this out? Because the i-remote should work with your itunes, no matter whether its mac or pc... you down load and sync in itunes. You will then need to do the setup and enter the code they give you to make it work... Let us know what seems to be the problem. As its a much neater solution than having to get up to adjust

Hey all, Yes its interesting to see how we all came to be here, I think that I have mentioned before that the iconic and standout BM2400 was my first introduction to B&O. We were visiting family friends in the early 80's and they had not long had this new sound system, it was nothing like the silver boxes I would see at the local electronics

First the static, now my speakers don't sound blown like yours Peter, or like Jeff and his MC120's ... I think they sound great (really), but... when I did your wiggling test on the overload button Martin, the following

Hey Seethroughyou, I think given your doubts about the design sensibilities of the BS5 (and in my opinion I think you are right, it does nothing for me as a piece of industrial design)... I would suggest that you stay with the BS9000, it is a design classic, icon, and statement... looking as good today as when it was launched in the 90's... I don't

Hey Martin, Thanks for your prompt input as well... I can't really tell regarding the dustcap / re-shim'ed issue... not sure how I would tell if its original? What should I be looking for? But I will take your advice and do the cone travel test when I get back later today, as I'm about to head out and let you know how it goes ... my gut

Thanks Peter, ...very prompt reponse ....Well I assume that the dealer I purchased them from redid the woofers, altho I don't really know for sure.... and the alignment did come to mind, so this was why I was a little concerned that this may affect the driver over time.. What would be the issue with the cross over do you think and what should I

Hi All, Whilst fiddling around today I have noted the following issue with my left speaker / channel and I would like seek some of your expert opinions on this. What I noted today is that the left woofer when playing at higher volume levels has very little 'travel' especially compared to the right speaker. It seems to only 'vibrate'
