With the sharing feature, albeit good, it still requires the master computer to be on, which to me is pointless.
The server (wether a nas or serving computer) always need to be on and available for a network like that to work. I have my itunes on my NAS, (which is always ) and streams to all my other locations
Sounds good to me, however where do I go for these belts AND how hard is it to change them? Jeff
I had my beosound4000 tapedeck belts done in my local electronics repair shop... total cost around 50$ if I remember correctly, but that was a while back and still works perfectly.
The new BeoMaster X with 2TB SSD HDD, HDMI, S/PDIF out, HD 1080p player and FLAC player. Of course, all this on the open source OS!!!
B&O missed the boat for a media center type system which is a shame. I am very pleased with my mac mini/plex/linkplayer setup. The new mac mini is certainly on my wishlist
Have you ever thought that your set up would be better/nicer/more fulfilling if only B&O made X product? What is that product? For me it's a cut down Beosystem that does 5.1 (including subwoofer port and built in crossover) and has HDMI control for, say, 4 products. That's all it really needs to do. I don't
