Hi, could someone tell, what a type 84/00 Avant actually is? I know it's 32" and VCR, but is it RF? And is it 50hz or 100Hz? Anything else, to keep in mind when considering to buy one? Regards, Pekka

Just an update to this thread: The problem seems to gone away. Hooray! Couple weeks ago I was going to scope the signals, to find out if problem was tube or electronics. There I was, put power on to oscilloscope, removed the back cover from Avant and turned it on. I leaned over the set to see the picture and saw some red color on the side of the picture

Hi, is this replacement kit some kind of an update to Ouverture CD? What are the benefits? And where can I obtain one and on what price? Thanks and regards, Pekka

Yes I can, and it turns smoothly.

I do not see it move at all. :) But if you mean the slot, where it is supposed to move, it is a straight vertical slot and the laser eye is at the top of it. Pressing CD again and listening very close,

Ulf, I'm a bit confused now, maybe, because I've never seen the MPAV in function. So, would it be a good idea to buy the thing to go with Avant? In the Avant manual there is a device connected to Avant, which looks like MPAV, but might be some other device. Is there a better option? How about adding pair of Beolab 4000 into setup? I have to

OK, so Beo4 won't work? But can I use the MPAV9000 directly, from buttons and get the sound out from Avant? Pekka

Hi, another question about my new Avant. I might be able to obtain a MPAV 9000, or Master Panel AV9000. If my Avant had a surround unit attached to it, is it possible to connect that MPAV 9000 to my Avant? If so, do I need a Master Link cable or something which goes to some input sockets near Power Link sockets? And if the above is OK, can I control
