Did u check the speaker switches as i wrote earlier? Operate them a few times to see if any oxide cause the problem. The speaker switches and the headphone jack switch is what I would check. They're in the signal path from the amplifier (which works) since u have sound in the earphones. /Fredrik

Hi If u can hear both channels with earphones - the output amplifier is ok. Check for bad contact elements in the speaker switches and/or headphone jack switches. To isolate the problem further you can connect the speakers to output 2. If it's the same result here the fault is probably in the speaker switch (output 2 is not affected by the headphone

Hi I guess that you mean the plastic cable holders for the ribbon cables inside the recorder not the DIN connectors. You just stick the ribbon cables back gently in the plastic holders on the pcb taking care not to bend any cable ends. The holders have a mark for pin 1 on the PCB. /Fredrik

Wow. What a meltdown. You should check every component on that board and the output transistors to track down this fault. As Martin says a cap kit won't repair it but you will probably change a lot of components on that board, so a kit is "good to have" anyway. I can understand why the cap c215 and the resistor r221 is damaged for example

Hi There is a photo detector diaphragm below the tonearm that tells the deck to advance. Probably your detector will need an adjustment or the detector circuit is faulty. /Fredrik

Hi If it's not the remote (nor the cats ) you might want to replace capacitors. Check the remote receiver module especially for bad caps and solders. /Fredrik

Tjena! Om det är den 6 poliga DIN a/v anslutningen så kan detta vara till hjälp: Pin 1 = 0/12v in (12v = play) - motsvarar SCART pin 8 Pin 2 = Video in/ut Pin 3 = Jord Pin 4 = Ljud vä in/ut Pin 5 = Används ej Pin 6 = Ljud hö in/ut /Fredrik

I have restored a bm8000 recently and I have compared it to my bm6000 also recently restored. I use a pair of M70s and I must say that both of these beomasters sounds great. Powerful and dynamic. My opinion is that the sound from them is quite equal. I wouldn't need the 8000 for more power output, but I would want it in my collection because it
