The bend at the tonearm was at the counter-weight, a common problem with these decks I take it. But no, you can't tell now. They did a tremendous job! They also tried to fix the slight warp on the cover, but to no avail. It's only perceptible when the deck is playing and the inner light is on. I find the slight warp quite curious considering

I listened to this yesterday at B&O Toronto and I have to say I'm highly impressed. All of B&O's 'smaller' stuff sounds good, but I was especially blown away by the scale of sound this thing creates. Very lovely, and it works quite harmoniously with iPhone 4 / iPad, and looks great with either! The salesperson stated devices

Wow. That's excellent! Thank you so much for the extra info & history! Both of these sites are indespensible!

Agreed! It's very pretty! The dustcover does't have a scratch on it, which I find remarkable. Sadly, it doesn't sit quite flush when closed, it's just the slightest bit warped and sits about a milimetre off on the left side, but it's really not noticeable. mike s

Am I correct in thinking it's one of the more relatively rare B&O decks? Other than here, it was nearly impossible to find out anything about it online. Even here on Beoworld, I've seen it seldomly mentioned . . . mike

I just wanted to post a quick thank you to those of you who helped me decide what to do with my recent purchase of a beautiful Beogram 5000 turntable. A few months ago I picked up this beauty off ebay and it arrived with a bent tonearm and the unexpected DIN connectors. I had originally wanted to have the DIN cable replaced entirely with an RCA lead

Thank you so much for the tips on the adapters guys! I just missed the UPS delivery today, so hopefully I'll receive it tomorrow or Friday when they try again. It would be great if I didn't have to buy the adapter at all, but from my late night reseach on the Beogram 5000 it looks like that's how they were all outfitted. I hate mucking up

Hi Guys! I just bought another B & O Turntable off ebay. It was a steal at $65 and the seller said it was in good working condition. I'm hoping for the best, but not expecting much (I'm such a pessimist). I currently have an old RX which I've had for about 10 years. Two years ago I had it completely serviced by B&O here in Toronto

Thank you very much! I've done as instructed and found out that the B&O service team must have noticed this and fixed it for me as well! I've been enjoying my old vinyl all day. Since the servicing it sounds so much more lively and dynamic, while still sounding very warm with excellent bass response. I wasn't expecting this much of a

Excellent, thank you! Now I do this with the cartridge still connected, correct? Mike
