Dillen in this forum is my number one supplier of capacitors. I've just been in contact with him regarding these caps, and he says that he is out of stock at the moment, but he has ordered more, and they should be available in a couple of weeks. Send him a PM.

Thanks for all your help this far Keith! I'm going to the in-laws for the weekend and won't be able to work any more on it until Sunday evening. I will check for dry joints then.

Hmm. Tried again now, and it went to stand by. Pulled the plug, and replaced it. Nothing, back to dead.

I'm back to it being dead again. I turned it off again after it turned on, because i was concerned about all the hanging wires on the back. When everything was connected, it would not turn on. Problem now is that i can't seem to replicate what I did to make it work!

What happens when you provide a line level signal into line in?

And THERE I'm back to scratch. :(

What the.... Plugged the set back together (well, some of it anyway, left out the VCR and powerlink module) and the standby light is back on. :) Will try to assemble the rest. Maybe it just was a loose connector?

Have picked the thing apart now, and I am pretty sure that the mains distribution board is OK. At least there is continuity from the mains lead to the yellow TV-connector. I'm looking at the power supply board now, and I must admit that I have no idea where to start.

I just want to thank you, Martin, for making this guide. Followed it short of changing the 1.5uF (didn't have any available). My Beocenter 9500 now plays CD-Rs perfectly. If you just made a repair guide for the Avant mk1....
