Very nice little thing, that knob would put me off but it is rare so hope it gets sorted out and used.

Just to tempt you even more, the cd50 remote kit has a couple of internal jumpers which you can move around and it can then control the basic functions (well, on and off and maybe volume) of your Beomaster 8000.

A dirigent type reciever is the one thing I really want for my collection. I love the fact that it has modern looks yet is a valve set.

I had a 5000 system with this and it worked fine.

I have just been surfing the net and came upon a picture of a lovely looking pair of stands which look to be from the 80's judging by the equipment. Never seen them before and they look very nice, a perfect match for the redline stands. Does any one own one?

I reckon a crate of this would be perfect for a summer prize draw. Mmmmmm BeoDrink.

Maybe these are not seen in Europe but in the UK they were supplied when you bought a system. The equipment all came with 2 pin european style plugs which would not work in the UK so instead of changing the plug, which would be illegal as the mains plug has to be a moulded plug, B&O supplied one of these. As Peter says, they are very useful indeed

Glad you like it. Are you going to use it or just look at it?

Just opened mine up and heres a scan of the schematics. The preamp bit isnt on this scan but if you need it let me know. Martin, you say type no. S274, mine says S402. Any ideas? Having just seen the picture, I'm not sure if you can read any of it anyway. If you want a better copy, let me know and I will try and sort it out.

Good work. I have one of these too. Lovely looking decks. Mine is really in mint condition except for where the original owner stuck one of those awful "dustbug" dust removal things. This caused the rusting on the top plate. I have the user manual with mine (I will scan it for the site) and it doesnt mention anything about a lid for the deck
