Yes Toby, through the MasterLink cable (audio) and 75 ohm coax (video) as per normal. I'm waiting to update the BS3 to ver 3.1 software though. i doubt you'll be able to control an Apple TV from a link room (if that's what you mean); but I may be surprised! I often am! Cheers

David, the Philips 7300/7310 has an analogue tuner, but not a digital one (you'll need the 9000 for that). I saw half a dozen 7300 on sale in Myer Melbourne last weekend (floor stock) at $499 each---a bargain if there are any left. Me, I've placed a deposit on a DVD2 ... late August with a bit of luck?

Thanks Todd. I'm still tossing up how I should get my BS3 software upgraded. I bought it six weeks ago and it has software 2.7 (although one salesperson hinted at an HD update---I guess 3.0 at that time). I was lucky to be able to buy the unit without a monitor, as I already have a 45-inch Sharp AQUOS (1080p)---mind you, it was a leap of faith to

Hi Newfangle, Multi-regioning for a TV means setting the TV to specific PAL, SECAM or NTSC systems, often several, but most TVs nowadays autoswitch between systems. i think you mean multi-zoning for DVD. Ralf, well done for thinking laterally. May I add a couple of thoughts. You didn't need to use a MasterLink junction box, you could have used a strip connector within a small box. Boxes I've used are ones for coax TV splitters that have three or four holes. They are cheaper to buy than the boxes alone(!!), just throw away the circuit board for

Eric, the Masterlink signal only carries data, voltage switching (-7 to -15V on pin 11 and +7 to +15V on pin 12---down to -+3 on standby respectively) and balanced audio. The audio is on the following pins, all with Resistance in of 2.2M Ohms, and Resistance out of 75 Ohms at 1V balanced: Pin 13: minus Left Pin 14: plus Left Pin 15: minus Right Pin

Our Service Centre in Melbourne say that a software update from 2.7 to 3.1 for the BS3 would not make an Apple TV remote controllable unless specifically added into the list during the upgrade. Is upgrading the software difficult? Does 'the list' not get transferred for selection and appear like that of the STB listing? I'm trying to make

Beobres, did your dealer do the job in the shop, or did you have to go to the service centre? Was there any charge? Mike
