Contact the folks at Newbury Street...BeoLab 5's are intended to be serviced in-home. Don't expect 'Next-Day' service, the front line service technician will have to get the BL-5 service kit from B&O-A. To answer your question though, no I've never heard of this issue before.

This is absolutely correct. Sorry.

Easiest thing in the world. You're over thinking this. I assume that you're using the Pentas as front speakers. First, get yourself a fully wired Powelink cable. Then disconnect the MasterLink cable, and the IR cable to the passive kit. Connect the kit to the BV-5 via the aforementioned PowerLink cable to one of the Front sockets on the BV-5

For the first part of your question.... Connect the digital out from the BeoCenter 2 Socket box as before, but the PowerLink connection will be from the BeoSystem 3. Make certain that the PL cables are the ones supplied with the BL-5's or fully wired. On every other source the BL-5's will play from the PL cables; but from CD they will look for

I'm with Elephant here. iTunes 10 would not start until those plug ins were removed.

I doubt that too many have heard them yet; but that will be changing soon. I understand the claim that the changes were made for pragmatic reasons, not audible ones; but they're doubling and quadrupling the power available, I can't imagine that there are no side effects. But I will wait patiently to hear for myself.

If the TV is set up as a stand-alone piece, then turning off the mains ought not cause any real trouble. If you are using it in any form of linked system with other B&O gear I could envision issues with all of the pieces properly re-establishing communication when they pop back up on the network. Russ

I hate to openly disagree with both Jaff and Joey, but even the BeoLink Wireless kit uses the ML connection with the 3500. The change that was made a couple of years ago enabled the 3500's sensor to be used instead of the Wireless' external eye. Same goes for the BeoLab 2000, BTW.

This keeps coming up, and the answer is quite simple. The 8-pin DIN connection on the BL-3500 is in fact NOT a PL connection. It is a connection meant for a purpose-built MCL cable meant for use with older MCL-based systems. To connect the BL-350 to any modern B&O system you MUST use the MasterLink connection. Hope that helps!

I think it's definitely a problem with the muting...which is why I was wondering about which PowerLink cables you're using. I think you'll need to use the fully mounted 8 lead cables yo kill the 'pop'.
