you do not need any special baluns IR will happily run over cat5 Easiest way to do it would be to cut the emitter cable in half, the inner cores should be colour coded with red, green & bare cable for the shield/ground, splice these to a cat5 cable also cut in half to the orange, green & green white for ground etc, do this both ends then patch

Hi Keith, The remote does not have any codes on it, do you think that the model no of the box ends in 05 is the rc code.

HAve you checked & then double checked the cables & connections so that you can definitely confirm it's the masterlink, also are you able to check whether the Avant works with anything else over masterlink or the Overture on there own. Just my own thoughts.

I have just replaced the STC chip in my Beosystem 2 when i noticed lots of spare connector points on the electronic boards, one in particular is a spare connector point just below the RGBHV connector which is where the picture is output from. I was wondering because my beosystem 2 is HD ready but does not have a VGA input, aslo the option is not highlighted

I have a Philips DTR220/05 freeview box , does anyone know if this is supported as I can not see it in the latest list posted. Will one of the other Philips models be similar?

I don't believe there is, why can you not connect the analogue L&R to the BV7?
