I am not so sure autocontrast is a good thing - it would be better to have the panel ISF calibrated instead. In this case you get the optimum performance at a specific light level. Granted - it is not automatically changing depending on the light level etc, but compare the two at the same light level and you should see the difference.

I was thinking of getting a DAC aswell. Currently I am planning to put the DAC between my Apple Airport Express and my BeoSystem 3 + BL9. 1. Can I do that ? and would that be a good idea? I see soundproof and catboy both going directly into Line In on their speakers, but... 2. Would the BeoSystem 3 degrade the signal going to the BL9? 3. Which DAC would

true - maybe with hdmi 1.3 it will take a little while longer before everyone can/will use it, but there are other features, which there is a real need for i.e. 1080p/24fps - when you have both players and panels, which supports it. Anyone know if 24fps is there yet or in the pipeline?

This is really brilliant stuff especially since I have a nice big NAS serving up movies and pictures via UPnP to my PS3. My only wish would be that the PS3 could upscale video from UPnP streaming and not just DVD discs.

Would it have to be a Beo5 or could a Beo4 do a similar job since it will be using the IR blaster I guess I could choose Sony DVD player from the list?

This looks very cool. Would this work in conjunction with the IR blaster setup with a BeoSystem 3? So I could complete hide the ps3 away somewhere?? (except for changing dvds)

Does anyone know if supporting native 24fps could be achieved using a SW update? Or is B&O not doing this as it would require a HW update... So sad when you have a nice plasma that can handle it and also a source ... but the middle ware (BS3) stops it.... :(

Ha .. I knew it come back to bite me. I am now running iTunes 7.6 on my iMac and of course it won't play on my Airport Express. It shows up in the speaker listing and I can select it ... but when trying to play/connect it comes back with an error. Using my PC is fine ... Anyone have any ideas? Christian
