Hi, I have Beolab 5 and BS9000. When I feed the labs 5 with SPDIF-cable I feel that the bass is more blurred and diffuse. When i feed the labs5 with Powerlink cables I feel that the speakers get alive with much more bass. Can someone tell me why there is i large difference in the bass-response between feeding the labs 5 with spdif-cable and powerlink

Does anybody know if the new CD-mechanism in MK3 will give a better soundquality than the one in MK1 and MK2? Or what is the difference between the "new" CD-mechanism in MK3 and the one in MK1/MK2? /Martin

Thanks for your reply. But I have connected with to Line-cables (L/R) from the BR-player to the TV. This means that there will be sound in the labs5 when playing CD:s from the BR-player. But the Lab5 will not detect the SPDF signal directly from the BR-player. That is the problem.

Beolab 5 will onlywork with MarkII-powerlink.

I have just bought a new pair of Beolab 5. I trade in my lab 1+lab2. My retailstore said that there was a new DSP (digital sound processor) and new software in Beolab 5.
