I think some information is getting mixed up here, BV 7 55" is on its way and should be out by the end of the year. It is said that it will use OLED backlight technology but is still an LCD panel, and there are no plans to discontinue BV 9 at the moment, although you may question the need for such a TV. I do not know exactly what OLED backlight
It looks like this monster is actually mounted on a stand, similar to the BV 7. Wonder if it rotates like the BV 7. I can just see guests heading for cover when this thing begins to rotate from side to side. It could easily knock the average human over.
It has the same functions as the BV 7 40 stand, it does
I know that B&O is working on a BV7 - 55", but i dont think that it will arrive this year.
It should arrive by November-December.

You may wish to look at a new product from Lutron called the B&O Rania, some stores are already selling them i think that they're around £200.
Why a Sw upgrade? If you have the HD module then HD plays over DVI-I, Analogue Audio over Scart and Digital Audio over a coaxial digital input. I do not understand DVI AV4 port - AV4 is commonly used when you are using L/R phono stereo leads for the sound, instead of Scart. HD can be assigned to any port. [/quote

Is one of the existing boxes equivalent? Can't get any answer from Virgin (Sales or tech support). Please help - excitement

The real problem is, that BeoSound5/BeoMaster 5 does NOT support Apple formats, neither AAC nor AAC Lossless. WMA lossless is the way to go with BeoSound 5 .
BS5/BM5 does support AAC. See here: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/UserFiles/File/ts/BeoMaster5_en.pdf AAC is not an

Peter is quite right, your TV is fitted with a PUC (periferal unit controller) that can be updated with a laptop by any B&O engineer. This allows a huge choice of STB's including Sky, Freeview & Freesat options. From a Freeview point of view, Topfield TF5800 or 5810 are good twin tuners with Hard Drive recording. Sky+ is a very poular choice
