I don't have a B&O television. The Beo 1 works fine in link rooms but won't control the BS9000 direct in the main room. Strange....

It works! I had tried a while ago and I couldn't get it to work. I noticed this thread again and thought I 'd give it another go. I replaced the batteries and tried again and again (about 25 times) and then suddenly the BL 3500 in the kitchen came on. Strange thing is that it doesn't work in the main room where I have the BS9000 but it works

To be honest it could be a lot worse. With card payments, what is policy with a merchant and bank today may be totally different in a weeks time without any notice from the bank or processing company. It would be impossible for a merchant to keep up with all the changes especially if you're are not advised; something which banks are not overly good

Hi Voltaire, I think the only people you'll get to instal in Victoria will be from Melbourne. I don't think there would be many people out there in country Vic specialising in B&O instals. What I meant about haggling over the cables; if B&O aren't instaling the product which is part of the service then perhaps they can offset that

Hi Voltaire, Setting up the TV and connecting it via Masterlink to your BS 4 shouldn't be difficult at all. Connecting your BS5 should be straightforward however configuring it might be a different story. If getting B&O to do the instal is out of the question it might be a good idea to get them to configure the BS 5 in store. The TV might also

Hi Daniel, With regards to switching the timer on & off using the Beo4; from the LIST press SHIFT and O (zero). That should show the timer status as on - quickly key the same again to get it to change to TIMER OFF. Key the same sequence again to turn the timer back on. Good luck with the repair. Peter

Hi Striker27, Yes all you need is two 2 pin din plugs. Don't bother with the B&O versions - you can pick them up at any electronics store for next to nothing. The connections will be masterlink in and then using your din plugs (for the output) connect them to your speakers using whatever speaker cable you choose. The passives are pretty easy

Hi, To gain full and seperate control of the outside speakers you'll need a Beolink Passive which is basically an amplifier with a IR sensor. You need to connect the Passive via Masterlink to your BS9000. You then connect the speakers to the passive. You'll gain full control of the BS9000 plus you can then operate the volume/tone separate to

The Beo5 is the first B&O product that I have regretted buying. If you have sound only and no video products I would recommend sticking with the Beo4. The Beo4 is simpler and requires less button pushes than the Beo5. The Beo5 really needs something to lift it to the price charged for it. At the moment it simply is a remote with a few pretty pictures
