djs: Against: Need dedicated leads to connect then to preamps; you can buy a lot of amp and spaekers for GBP5000. You might be able to buy a lot of amp & speakers for GBP5000 elsewhere - but will they be as perfectly matched as in the BL9s, given that, by default, they are built to match exactly

Mr10Percent: I will add, that if B&O put out an audiophile class CD in the BC2 shell, I will be THE number one customer to get this machine. 10% Not if I get there first! And all the Lab5 owners. I really don't understand why B&O haven't brought an audiophile class player already, given they are up there with the speakers. Why not the

jk1002: >>Where does an audio only BC2 fit in the audio range with a BS4<< The BC2 is a premium model. To be honest I would not expect the music only version to be that much cheaper. I woudl think ight in the middle between BS4 and current BC2, maybe even higher. For customers who have a DVD already they will not have to wait the few seconds

I suspect the BC2 can be able to carry a premium given that BL5 owners have no choice if they want to go digital (unless they go for a BS9000). Maybe the BS4 is aimed at the "mp3" market

Where does an audio only BC2 fit in the audio range with a BS4? Looks like duplication to me.

mbee, just wondered if you've had a demo yet. In particular you mention you don't want a lab2. I agree it wasn't needed with just music cds, but when I played a dvd I thought that there was something missing in the deep base when playing the opening scene of the Fifth Element

mine hopefully arrive next week, so maybe I'll be no.2 with a BL9 avatar! Can't wait

Peter: I believe B&O could be bringing out a recordable DVD pretty soon though. I wonder if this will be put in the BV7 at some point?
-
After ages of no purchases I've taken the plunge: In a week or so am hoping to see my avatar change. The lab8000 (and lab6000 rears) have been traded in for lab9s and lab3 wall-mounted rears. I'm very excited - delivery in the next week or so. Intesting question to any lab9 upgraders - if you had a lab2, did you keep it? My dealer was convinced

I have nothing but praise for the aTV, Its currently plugged into my BV6 via DVI. If I get to replace my BV3 with a BV7, I guess it will move to the lounge. Assuming the BV7 will have a Beosystem 3 in built soon, would that mean that it will masterlink around the house? And control via Beo4? Threads suggest yes which would be great.
