Why should B&O listen. They seem to have decided that their's is as Trip says "an elite client." Too bad, at least here in America. That "elite client" snobishness is just that. Don't bother Trip unles you're prepared to give your architect/designer a budget north of $250k for the a/v system in your "managed"

I agree that BL1000 and Beo4 are a bit "tall," but I think both are great remotes. I own several of each. I just can't get over how many of you hate the Beo1. I actually own a Beo1, and use it for a purpose for which it was not originally intended. I think it's great. Compare to the Apple Remote used for the Ipod, AppleTV, and Imacs

I think the Ipad/Beo concept looks great. It's the wireless part that seems the most logical. Trip and other wifi naysayers - I don't get it. Wifi is not perfect but it works. I know people in NY highrises and it works. I know people in single family homes surrounded by lots of grass, and it works. The fact that B&O cannot make a wireless

Try Smarthome . You should be able to find very cost effective switches that with an external IR receiver will be able to be controlled via the Beo5. Of course you will need to "teach" your Beo5 the necessary IR codes. I see your other posts in the Forum about programming the Beo5, so you're already part of the way there. It also occurs

I agree with TripEnglish - a great (or at least a very good) link speaker. Wonderful design for what it's meant to be. I have two of these, and I think they would make a terrible center speaker. I've never tried it, but I'm convinced they would dissapoint. I've seen a 6000 used as a center speaker. There was a small conversion made by

I'm sure the ML Gateway works just great, but since I don't have experience with it I can only point you in the direction of Lintronic . Try the Lintronic 238, I have, it will do everything you need. No problem. And if you're a technical person, and need some special help with say RS232 integration, then Michael there is the right guy. It's

So the US spec BV8 is now $2900? Does that include the ML and Beo4? I assume that BV10 will be ML. It may have been mentioned, but if it was I missed it sorry. I know we are really jumping the gun.

4 x Beo4 in each link room 1 x Beo1 in the living room 1 x BL1000 I don't know why 1 x BL Audio Terminal b/c it looks like a BL1000 and I don't know why Soon another Beo4 b/c a new BV8 will demand it Interesting thread. I had never really taken inventory, and now I feel a little sick!!!

My installation of AppleTV is a bit simpler and not described above. It includes a Slingbox which I already had, and a Sling Catcher with I purchased to send the AppleTV's video signal to the bedroom TV. My main reason for having an AppleTV connected to my B&O is not video, but Audio. As an audio disctribution server, it works quite well, and
