• Re: Connection challenge Beosystem 7000!!!

This isn't actually going to work very well. In order to get the BeoSystem 7000 to play over AUX, you're going to need to issue an AV RADIO or similar command, to get the audio over the AUX port. That's not doable via front-panel buttons, and you can't have it respond to the remote because of the conflict with the BS9000. My suggestion would be to place

  • Re: Beolink 7000 and Beocenter 2300

With the 2500 in stand-by, hit the MUTE button on the front. The speakers will then turn on along with the rest of the system during a timer event.

  • Re: Rare B&O AV7000 Surround sound decoder!

If you are in Japan then you will obviously want the 110v NTSC model, which is far more common. And the AV7000 is designed to work exclusively with non-B&O equipment, however there is a quite limited subset of devices it can control. There is a list floating around somewhere which is either on the site or can be easily uploaded to it.

  • Re: what size is the plug of a Beocenter 9000 relay socket?

joeyboygolf: It has a timer facility as well although I never quite got the hang of that. I have the North American version of this and, as near as I can tell, the "TIMER" indicator on the front is just to let you toggle between having the outlet controlled by the BeoCenter and having it powered all the time. As others have noted, you can use this with

  • Re: Use of Beomaster 7000 with 5500 components

Unfortunately the system will work so that all of the speakers need to be connected to the AV7000. The BM7000 connects via a PowerLink and DataLink cable, but its amplifier is not utilized. The AV7000 has a built-in amplifier for the center channel only...

  • Re: New BeoVision 4

(I've removed one post from this thread which could be mistaken for a personal attack; I think TripEnglish's second post, above, more accurately reflects his thoughts on B&O's video line. Carry on!)

The AV7000 is Powerlink for the front and rear speakers so you will need at least a BeoLink Passive to power the BeoVox 5000. I've never heard of BeoVox 2500, what are those? I assume you are interested in Video sources for surround sound?

  • Re: Excessive hum from 4002 turntable

There is an original DIN to RCA adaptor from B&O that provides a separate grounding breakout. I believe this originally shipped with the turntable, at least in the states, as both my 4002 and 4004 have them intact. The internal connector is just a naked DIN plug, which you can see at the lower right of this picture:

  • Re: Excessive hum from 4002 turntable

Almost certainly due to a bad replacement job when the DIN cable was replaced. I suggest finding a donor model -- a non-working 4002 -- and getting the original DIN cable from that. Alternatively one of the members on the board may have a spare cable. If I recall correctly this cable actually "plugs in" to one of the daughterboards, so it is not a very

  • Re: Samsung WEP420 Bluetooth headset has B&O luxury design

I would suggest the Jabra JX10 Mark II. Designed by Jensen, Bluetooth 2.0 and able to be paired to two devices simultaneously (PC and Mobile). The 420's main problem is the charger is enormous -- you can't really take it with you on a trip -- and it doesn't recharge over USB.
