Got them on Ebay for just under $20 shipped. I'd heard them before quite awhile ago and remembered them being okay but nothing exceptional. But, I figured for $20, what the heck? B&O headphones to match my B&O system, you know? Anyway, they're not bad! Better than I remembered. They have a nice tonal balance with decently defined bass

My bet is on the mains fuse. It would be the simplest thing and the most obvious answer. Probably got jarred around in shipping and the filament broke. It's not unheard of. You'll just have to figure out how to take it apart. Were there disassembly instructions in the service manual you got? Jon

Hello, I want to add a subwoofer to my Beosystem 8000. I will be building the sub myself, using a plate amplifier I've had on hand for awhile. My slight predicament is that this amp has only line-level inputs, and the line-level outputs from the BM8000 are fixed level, of course. I suppose I could use a line-level converter from the speaker level

B&O is a pricey, but quality product (on the whole). Their products click with some people, and don't with others. I can think of several products which I would say sound better

Recone these, or look for original drivers from another speaker. Jon
