If the handsets are not the original ones then you need them paired with a beocom service tool. take it to your nearest service centre. You can enter a handset service menu to check the base park no matches the one actually on the base.

Hi beoguy As you look at the connections from the rear the phono sockets are discreetly tucked in on the left handside along with the component video inputs. The are listed as AV3. You will then need to assign the socket accordingly.
