BL1 packaging is WOEFUL!!!!!!!!! Be aware of that! Theydo not provide sufficient protection from dumb-*** couriers. All they are is a little bit of polysteirene in a thin cardboard coffin, very long and thin, 50% chance they'll be intruded. One of mine was, and i have the biggest headache from UPS for not being helpful re: insurance claim for damage

I had the same thoughts, and decided to get a Beocenter 1, same price, video source, everything built in, powerful sound, a good compromise between the two (avant and AV5) If i could go back and choose, i would have found an AVANT 28 , because i know am masterlinked, and the AVANT could access all those sources, with a bigger better picture.

Well i haven't yet had the privillege to play with the older stuff, but the oldest B&O i've had was the ouverture/2500, and it was a pretty poor performer.
