After disconnecting power and masterlink from BL active I reconnected mains and tried to activate it by Beo4 - no luck. Then I tried to activate it by pressing the PLAY button on the IR eye - again no luck. After replugging masterlink

Ther are two types of BL active. The newer one, I think it`s called 1636, has a DIN input socket. You can connect the line out of your computer or any other audio device with line out to this stereo input. Will be activated by pressing PC on Beo4/5.
..... Can you configure each port on the extender whether it uses HDMI only, PUC, SP/DIFF etc like in the TV menu?
I`m not sure, I don`t have an HDMI expander, and the manual is not very clear on this, but it wouldn`t make much sense, if this would not be possible.... Maybe someone who got the related sw can

As said in other threads I bought an LG BD 390 BD player. My BV7-40 MKIII has a DVD player And I didn`t want to spent >1000 Euro to upgrade to the inbuilt BD player, that is not able to decode DTS HD audio. The LG is able to send digital- and analogue video and audio simultaneously, so it also works in my linkrooms on my BV6-22 and my BC6-26. It
