Don't lose too much sleep! The replacement CD is mega expensive and even though the Beocenter is supposed to be mint, they very rarely are!!

The 9000 box and packaging is identical to that for the 9300. Same part number but has not been available for some months now.

Assuming you have done all the cable swapping initial checks and from your symptoms, I would suspect a main power supply fault. As far as I know, the red/green led runs from the standby power supply so that is no real indication that the amplifier is receiving power. You will need a B&O engineer unless you are qualified to dismantle the amplifier

I need a CD interface PCB31 out of any of the above. The one that is flat on the base of the Beocenter to the rear of the tin box. Anyone?? Please reply by PM

My advice based on personal experience........don't buy used cartridges, period. I have tried it several times and have never bought a good one yet. You might as well set fire to £20 notes! SMMC4 is more than adequate. Like Mika, any better (?) is wasted on me and I buy audiophile pressings wherever possible. I also have experience with Axel's

The wattage alone is no measure of how loud they will sound or what size of room they can fill. I am astounded that 6000's can tolerate volume settings so high without distorting and blowing the tweeters. Remind me not to buy your speakers! My experience with the 3's are limited but safe to say, they are not my favourite speaker. Too directional
