Free A8s are not to be sniffed at though!
How come they give free A8s for sw-issues relating to a £500 BeoCom 5, but a £10,000 BV7-40 results in nothing free whatsoever? Many of us across this forum have had BV7-40 sw issues since November 2007. Bizarre.
Expect a 46/47" version in the spring. Same basic innards with a bigger screen.
Are you sure Peter? I asked my dealer this weekend and they said a 46" is only a rumour. Nothing confirmed. If it was confirmed, surely they'd know by now? I'm keen to get a 46" B&O TV..
And lastly, I feel very badly for the dealers who receive no recompense for having to jump in their car with a laptop and to take the 45 minutes with each customer to apply each successive update. If this were any other company they'd receive the internal service labour rate.
I totally agree. My dealer

Beolab, no that is still a problem, even with the latest 7.05 sw. Indeed, the problems I have now, include: 1) Intermittent crashing BV7-40 MKIV as a result of a three-way Sky HD<>BV8<>BV7 setup. Seems to cause the BV7 to crash. 2) Delayed audio on the BV8 (which didn't ever happen in the same setup, using the BV7-40 MKIII) 3) Degraded
Out of interest, I've gone back to 6.11 now and I have to say the picture quality is way better in HD and SD than in the newer 7.05. How can that happen????
Oh no :( I noticed this too. I thought it was me seeing things - there's a definite deterioration in picture quality since the upgrade to 7.05
very simple its business, does matter what market your in, reviews of products preference given to company advertising in their mag i was inthe food industry same applied
Very very wrong. This is my industry and I can tell you that this does *not* happen. I think it's a basic assumption from readers
My 10 had the same problem. I asked my dealer what this could be. The dealer told me the spots come from the machine which places the screen in/on the BV10 by using "suction units" (?) Anyway, during a few days these lighter areas disappeared totally.
I had the same thing on my BV7-40 MKIV. Dead

I'd like you to ask him why B&O think it's acceptable to sell a £10K TV (BV7-40 MKIV) that could be argued is not 'fit for purpose' under UK law, which crashes watching Sky HD in a multi-room environment. Sky HD is embedded in millions of homes through the UK, so it's hardly uncommon. B&O have had issues with the BV7

I posted this yesterday, but the board appeared to be down. I had problems with my old Sky box and it was replaced yesterday morning. It's an old (refurb) box and also has the old pre-HD EPG. A couple of interesting points: 1) No blue lines on any TV channel. This is a particular dislike for Simon, but using this Pace box and old EPG, not a single
I just went to B&O to see the 7-55, that was amazing what I saw. I watched SD TV, Blueray and DVD. My 7-40 MKIV just crashed totally and should be replaced...
I don't think the BV7-55 will differ in this respect. It's built on the same chassis and software. My BV7-40 MKIV has been crashing since
