Jaff, Before I bought my Niles 275, I tried to get my hands on a used Nakamichi PA-7. Sadly it never happened... @Menahem, talk about toroids and caps!! (PA-7)

Hello Greg, I have a Serene but never used it for emails. I now have a data plan on my cell service and could try it out on my Serene. I use my Serene less and less these days and right now it is parked about 7 miles away from me. Once I'm near it I'll give it a whirl and post my findings. Unfortunately I have ATT and not T-Mobile.

Alright everybody, the parts have finally been ordered! All parts short of the 5000mfd power cap substitute were found on Mouser. I will call it a night.
